I've been photographing weddings since 2017, from backyard ceremonies in the Santa Cruz mountains to clifftop celebrations in Big Sur and everything in between. Before photography, I spent years as a wilderness guide. I learned to read people as well as landscapes. I learned to stay calm when nothing goes to plan. Turns out wedding photography is exactly the same job. I'm very hard to rattle. I will always find the light. And I will always notice the thing happening in the background that nobody else caught.
I photograph your people like they're my people — the love between you two, and everyone who showed up to prove it.
I work in both film and digital because they do different things. Digital captures the whole day — every moment, every corner of the room. Film is for the quiet ones. The look between you two during a speech nobody else caught. The way the light hits right before sunset. Most of my couples come in curious about film and leave completely obsessed. I shoot both on every wedding because I wouldn't have it any other way.
