Most photographers offer film as an add-on.
For me, it's just how I shoot.

my style and approach

I shoot hybrid, which means your wedding is documented on both digital and film. Not film as an add-on, not a few rolls thrown in for fun. Film is how I see. It's what I reach for in the quiet moments: the way light hits your grandmother's face during the first dance, the look between you two that nobody else caught. Digital gets everything. Film gets the feeling.
I spent years leading wilderness trips for luxury tours: surveying landscapes, reading people, and staying calm when nothing goes to plan. That's still the job. Your wedding day is unpredictable and I love that about it. I keep things moving without feeling rushed, find light nobody else notices, and make sure you enjoy the day knowing I've got it captured.

Digital captures the day. Film captures how it felt.

"Natasha went above and beyond for our wedding in Oct 2021 during uncertainty and chaos."

The best photos happen when you forget I'm there.

i Believe...

I'm not interested in stiff portraits or manufactured moments. My approach to photographing is the way a close friend would — someone who knows when to hang back and when to say "okay, just look at each other." I'll give you enough direction to feel like yourself and then get back to the photojournalistic moments. My couples tend to be people who care deeply about the day but aren't precious about it. They want to laugh, they want to be present, and they want photos that actually look like them. If that sounds like you, we might be a great fit.

What to Expect

Film Included, Not Extra
Every wedding includes both digital and film coverage. The number of rolls depends on your collection and coverage.

Timeline + Planning Guide
We'll talk through your timeline, must-have moments, and all the details. I'll show up knowing your day as well as you do.

Super 8 is grainy, warm, and a little imperfect in exactly the right way. It moves. It breathes. It looks like something your parents would have shot at their wedding, except beautiful. I offer it as an add-on to photography coverage, either a short highlight reel woven through your day or a fuller film that tells the whole story with a dedicated videographer. Developed, scanned, color graded, and set to music. Starting at $1,500.

The only thing better than great photos is  a Super 8 film to go with them.

for the nostalgic ones

You can expect approximately 75-100 high-resolution, edited photos for every hour of coverage. Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release. The online gallery service I use is connected to an amazing printing store. All wedding galleries are delivered within 4-8 weeks.

Yes. Film is not an upgrade or an add-on, it's part of every package. The number of rolls depends on your coverage. I bring a multitude of 35mm and 120mm film cameras to every wedding because they capture different settings in different ways.

It depends on the scope of your day. For larger weddings with 80+ guests and multi-location coverage, a second shooter is strongly recommended to make sure nothing gets missed. There are multiple options in my pricing guide inclusive of a second photographer.

I spent years as a wilderness guide, leading groups through unfamiliar places and figuring out how to make strangers feel completely at ease. That instinct carries into every wedding I shoot. Most people feel a little weird in front of a camera at first. I'll give you enough direction to feel like yourself but know when to step back because that's how we get the best photos.

Yes, I love photographing weddings at beaches and state parks! Whether you’re planning a coastal ceremony in Santa Cruz or a rustic celebration in a California state park, I’m experienced in capturing natural light, scenic backdrops, and those candid outdoor moments that make your day unforgettable.

Santa Cruz weather can be unpredictable, but I always come prepared. I bring weather-resistant gear, clear umbrellas, and creative solutions to turn foggy or rainy days into magical, moody backdrops for your wedding photos
